Dryer or Paper Towel?
You probably didn’t realize that your choice of drying your hands after washing up after going to the bathroom impacted the environment. That is the plea of the automated hand dryers. They claim that they are more sanitary to use and fill less landfill than paper towels. Is that true? Actually, the dryers actually incubate germs due to the warm air and it takes electric power to operate them. Plus, the paper towels provide us with the ability to avoid handling the germy door handles on the way out. Think about that. If you are conscientious and wash your hands with soap after your business and touch the door handle on your way out, you are virtually shaking hands with every dirty human who went out that door that day. [Shudder]

Have you seen the new hand blower dryer from the dude who invented the Dyson vac? It's gonna revolutionize the way American's dry their hands!
haven't seen that. I do like the one that could power a small aircraft. It blows so hard that it makes your skin flap.
What about all the germy water that goes to the floor. Average time spent drying hands with a paper towel is 2.6 seconds vs. 11.8seconds with the blow drying method. Lot of time wasted.
Whatever happened to those continuous pull down cloth rolls we used to have in places like Lou Boccardis?
MAN, in this day and age of people returning to cloth diapers for the environment, those old dispensers were probably a pain to take care of but better for the environment. They were found prominently in bowling alleys like old Redbird lanes.
