Commands of Christ - cont.

Some more commands from Matthew 6 and 7:

Do not worry about your life, what you will drink, your body or your clothes.
Seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness.
Do not judge.
Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened.
Do for others what you would have them do to you.
Enter through the narrow gate.
Watch out for false prophets.

This is all good advice, don't you think?

Bill,
These commands remind me of how much I need God's fire to clean out the crud that keeps me from obeying and how much I need God's grace to empower me to obey and keep on obeying, especially the first one about worrying about your life.

P.S. I never heard about whether videos of the 121 Forum sessions were made available. I still want to hear your exposition of Romans 12!

Great thoughts Andy. I need to check with Micah to see about the 121 stream.

That link between "don't worry...seek first the kingdom" and "do not judge" is staggering. Christ knows that one of our first temptations as disciples who sell out for the kingdom will be to notice all the people who aren't (and so the judgment begins.) We especially notice them if they seem to be doing well in those areas we tend to worry about (money, status, etc.).
